"I chose College of the Albemarle not only to be a part of the softball program but also because I felt I was not ready to jump into a big university. When I came to visit COA, I would walk down the halls while students and teachers smiled at me. I felt that it was the right fit and I wasn't just another number to the college. I moved from Washington, NC to Elizabeth City and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I have to give credit to Coach Mike, he not only looks out for me on the ball field but he looks out for my grades and my well-being. He is someone I can look up to and is a great role model for the community."

"I would tell someone who is considering COA that they won’t be just another number, as cliche as it sounds; I have met not only wonderful teachers and students, but overall good people who I will keep in my life. The town is a perfect size, the school is a perfect walking distance, class to class, and the academics I feel will prepare me for the University level and further career goals. When I finish in May I plan to transfer to East Carolina University to study Elementary Education."
