Basic & Transitional Studies

The Basic and Transitional Studies Department at COA offers students two options for obtaining a high school credential, the GED program and the Adult High School (AHS) Program, both in classroom settings and online. We also offer English as a Second Language (ESL) courses to help adults whose first language was not English master the English language, and Compensatory Education classes aimed at helping special needs students improve their life skills and education.
