GreJeff Carter, Athletic Directoretings from College of The Albemarle. Since its reinstatement in 2010, the intercollegiate athletic program has been a huge success at the college and in the community. Our baseball and softball teams compete in Region 10 of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), and have averaged over 20 wins per season. Our student-athletes do an outstanding job in the classroom and on the field, and are visible in the community, offering several free youth clinics each year. The education provided at College of The Albemarle prepares our transfers to excel at 4-year colleges and universities. Many of our former players are afforded the opportunity to continue their playing careers at 4-year schools, with several on athletic scholarships.

To prospective student-athletes, we are pleased that you are considering furthering your education at COA. It is our goal to provide you with a quality education and a quality athletic program, so that your experience here will be both memorable and beneficial. We will work with you so that you can earn a degree at College of The Albemarle and/or transfer to a 4-year institution. Our coaches, faculty, and staff are dedicated to helping you achieve your goals and reach your full potential. You will be expected to work hard in the classroom and on the field. Your education comes first at College of The Albemarle. The intercollegiate athletics program is for student-athletes who are able to maintain the balance between high academic and athletic standards. As a member of the intercollegiate athletics program, you will be an ambassador for the college. Your actions are observed closely by coaches, classmates, teammates, faculty, parents, children, and fans. You will be expected to exhibit professionalism at all times, both on and off campus. You should be proud to represent College of The Albemarle as a team member, just as the college is proud to have you. Millions of kids dream of playing college ball, but very few are able to do so. We encourage you to take advantage of the opportunity to play for COA. Please take the time to fill out a Prospective Student-Athlete Questionnaire, which can be found on our team websites, and feel free to contact our coaches or myself at any time. At COA, we want you to work hard, take pride in yourself, your college, and your community, and discover how good you can be!

Go Dolphins!
