Elizabeth City Campus

Cosmetology Instructor needed for Fall Semester. Requirements: completion of a 1500 hour cosmetology program or a 1200 hour cosmetology program with an additional six months of full-time work in a salon supervised by a registered cosmetologist; must hold a current NC Cosmetology License & a NC Cosmetology Teachers License. Edenton-Chowan Campus

COA is developing a pool of part-time applicants to facilitate Department of Public Safety personnel training. Requirements: four years criminal justice experience; must pass a reading comprehension test and attend PowerPoint and Word training; applicants cannot have an active/pending disciplinary action. Dare County Campus

On-call Substitute Library Assistant -  Hours: weekday & evening shifts as needed on a call-in basis. Requirements:  associate’s degree with six months experience in a customer-service setting and experience using Microsoft Office. Duties include: maintaining good order/behavior in the library, performing item checkouts and other circulation-related tasks, assisting users in troubleshooting basic computer problems, shelving books, answering directional and basic reference questions, referring higher-level issues to regular staff, and assisting with business paperwork/record-keeping. Regional Aviation and Technical Training Center

Machining Instructor needed. Requirements:  diploma in machining technology or related field with three years experience in the machining industry – experience includes working with conventional machine tool operation, blueprint reading, quality, set-up, programming and operation of CNC lathes and mills, and CAD/CAM software.
