Twenty Practical Nursing graduates received their nursing pins at College of The Albemarle’s (COA’s) thirty-fifth annual pinning ceremony last week. Held in the COA Auditorium, the evening ceremony was a traditional service and included pinning lapel pins, lighting nightingale lamps, and taking the Practical Nurses’ Pledge.

Nursing awards were presented by COA Practical Nursing faculty, Gail Ward, Sabrina Sanders, and Melody White.  Sade’ Lewis received the Academic Achievement Award while Victor Nobles, Winborne Evans, and Melissa Mitchell each received the Mildred W. Moore Nursing Excellence Award.
