New Online Math Course Offered for Spring
COA's Mathematics department is pleased to announced the following new online* MAT course offering for the Spring 2014 semester: MAT 263 N - Brief Calculus - Prerequisite MAT 161, MAT 171, or MAT 175. This course is designed for students who only need one semester of calculus. Topics include functions, graphing, differentiation and integration with emphasis on applications drawn from business, economics and biological and behavioral sciences. Upon completion, you should be able to demonstrate an understanding of the use of basic calculus and technology to solve problems and to analyze and communicate results.
This course has been approved for transfer under the CAA as a general education course in Mathematics. Many bachelor's degrees related to Business programs require one semester of calculus. You should consult with your transfer university for specific requirements.
