COA Presidential Search

The College of The Albemarle Board of Trustees is pleased to announce we have selected four finalists for the presidency of College of The Albemarle (COA).

The COA presidential finalists are (in alphabetical order):
 
Deborah Grimes, Ed.D. is the Senior Vice President of Instruction and Student Services at Lenoir Community College, NC. Previously, she served as the Vice President of Academic and Student Services at Lenoir Community College, NC. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Special Education, a Master of Arts in Education and a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership, Higher Education, from East Carolina University, NC.
 
Russell (Keith) Mackie, Ed.D. is the Executive Vice President at Catawba Valley Community College, NC. Previously, he served as the Vice President of Instruction at Catawba Valley Community College, NC. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Western Carolina University, a Master of Arts in Industrial Design from Appalachian State University, NC, and a Doctor of Education in Adult and Community College Education from North Carolina State University, NC.
 
Lannis Eugene (Gene) Smith, Jr., Ed.D. is Vice President of Academic and Student Services at Wayne Community College, NC. Previously, he was the Associate Vice President of Academic and Student Services at Wayne Community College, NC. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology, a Master of Science in Biology, and a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership/Higher Education Administration from East Carolina University, NC.
 
Robert Wynegar, Ed.D. is the Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs at Western Nevada College, NV. Previously, he served as the Dean of Associate of Arts at Hillsborough Community College, FL. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Master of Science in Mathematics from Tennessee Technological University, TN, a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, TN, and a Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Valdosta State University, GA.
