Orientation for New and Transfer Students

The orientation program is designed to introduce students to their new environment and to acquaint them with the policies, regulations, and services of the college. Orientation programs are held at the Dare County, Edenton-Chowan, and Elizabeth City Campuses during the fall, spring, and summer semesters as needed.  Workshops, lectures, information sessions, registration, and a fall semester student service/academic fair are held to assist students in adjusting to college life.

Orientations provide students successful tips on financial aid, academic support, and college expectations.  In addition, students will also receive a brief Moodle orientation, access to WebAdvisor, detailed information about programs of study and will be able to register for classes before the end of each session.  Follow-up individual sessions with an Advisor are also available if needed.
