Women's Association of Duck Woods Country Club (WADWCC) Memorial Scholarship

The WADWCC Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually to honor the memory of deceased members; to recognize the importance of education and life-long learning; and to support the organization's commitment to help needy members of the local community. Deadline: April 1, 2014

Requirements:

  • Must be a high school graduate, prior to April 1, 2014. Candidate may not have a bachelor's degree
  • The scholarship requires that a student's post-secondary education has been interrupted or delayed for more than a year
  • Must be a resident of Dare County or Currituck County
  • Must be a U.S. citizen/eligible for U.S. citizenship
  • Must enroll in a minimum of one course in the Fall 2014 semester
  • Applicant may be a current college student who meets the above criteria


Community College STEM Scholarship

Application:  Please submit an electronic application

The Community College STEM Scholarship provides a one-year, non-renewable award of $1,000 for students enrolled full time (minimum of 12 credit hours) at one of North Carolina's Community Colleges. Students must be majoring in a science, technology, engineering or math (STEM) field and be interested in pursuing a career that supports NASA's mission including careers in the aerospace sector.

Requirements include:

  • United States citizenship
  • Must have completed at least one year of college coursework
  • Enrolled in an Associate Degree program in science, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
