The North Carolina Association of Developmental Education (NCADE) awarded College of The Albemarle’s Lucretia White the Hilda P. Barrow Outstanding Developmental Educator of the Year award.
On Oct. 5, White, Program Coordinator, Developmental Reading, English and ACA, Assistant Professor, Developmental Reading and English, received $300 and a plaque during the NCADE conference luncheon, which was held at the Joseph S. Koury Convention Center in Greensboro.
This faculty award “recognizes the contributions of a person who has helped students achieve their desired goals. The person recognized shows a lifetime of service to students through professional excellence and personal commitment.” Evidence of professional achievement came in the form of documentation, including student and colleague letters.
