Academic Success Center: Keys to
Succeed
College of The Albemarle (COA) offers a variety of free academic support services for all COA students to promote academic excellence and student success: including instructors’ student hours, online tutoring, in-person tutoring in Learning Labs and workshops.
The Academic Success Center (ASC) is proud to announce that the College has earned Level 1 certification as a tutor training program from the internationally recognized College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA). Achieving certification means ASC has met CRLA’s high standards for tutor selection, training, direct service, and evaluation. This is an integral part of the overall tutoring program. For more than thirty years, CRLA has led learning assistance, reading, and academic support programs. It has nearly 1,300 members and over 2,000 certified training programs worldwide.
