Program Overview

College of The Albemarle’s (COA) Practical Nursing program will prepare you with the knowledge and skills to provide nursing care to children and adults. You will participate in assessment, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care. As a graduate, you will be eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-PN) which is required for practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

ATI TEAS Information

If you complete the Practical Nursing program and work for at least one with an unrestricted license, you may seek admissions to the Associate Degree Nursing program through LPN to ADN Options program.
