College of The Albemarle Joins NC State University’s Wolfpack Connect Transfer Pathway Program

ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. – College of The Albemarle (COA) students now have a guaranteed pathway to continue their education at North Carolina State University (NC State) through the new Wolfpack Connect transfer partnership designed to expand access and opportunity.

Wolfpack Connect offers guaranteed transfer admission for eligible North Carolina community college students who meet program requirements. Through the partnership, students can choose from more than 100 majors and concentrations across NC State’s colleges of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Education, Humanities and Social Sciences, Natural Resources, Sciences, and the Wilson College of Textiles.

“This partnership with NC State University provides another powerful opportunity for our students to continue their educational journey with confidence,” said Dr. Jack Bagwell, COA President. “At COA, we are committed to transforming tomorrows by creating clear, affordable, and accessible pathways to bachelor’s degrees and meaningful careers. Wolfpack Connect does exactly that.”

To qualify for Wolfpack Connect, students must:
• Be enrolled or plan to enroll at a participating North Carolina community college.
• Have fewer than 30 transferable college credits completed or in progress.
• Intend to pursue one of the eligible majors listed in the program.

Participants must complete an Associate in Arts (A.A.) or Associate in Science (A.S.) degree, maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher, and meet all NC State transfer deadlines. Students accepted into the program will receive access to transfer planning tools that ensure a smooth transition to NC State.

“Wolfpack Connect is designed to take the guesswork out of transfer by aligning advising, curriculum, and support from day one,” said Dr. Don Hunt, NCSU Senior Vice Provost for Enrollment Management and Services. “We are proud to partner with College of The Albemarle and join in their deep commitment to student success, affordability, and access. As a land grant university, NC State is dedicated to serving all regions of North Carolina, and this partnership reflects that mission. Together, we are creating a direct and affordable path for students to begin locally and transfer confidently into their junior year at NC State.”
