NC Longleaf Complete Grant
Are you an adult learner who started at College of The Albemarle (COA) but had to drop out or were unable to complete your program? A new funding source is available to help you finish your credential.
The NC Longleaf Complete Grant is designed to help “near-completers” — those who have finished at least 30 credit hours in their program of study — pay for classes needed to complete that program. The amount you may be awarded ranges from $500 to $1,300 based on the number of credit hours you take, and can be combined with other financial aid.
Eligibility
To be eligible, you must:
- Be 24 years old or older
- Have completed at least 30 credit hours towards your program of study
- Be a past COA student who has not been enrolled since spring 2020 or before
Awards
Awards are based on the number of credit hours you enroll in for spring 2021.
- $500 — if you enroll for 1 to 5 credit hours
- $900 — if you enroll in 6 to 11 credit hours
- $1,300 — if you enroll in 12 or more credit hours
These amounts are designed to cover tuition costs.
