Browse our continuing education class schedules. Whether you want to train for a new career or just want to have fun learning a new skill, College of The Albemarle’s (COA) Workforce Development and Career Readiness, formerly continuing education, has a program for you. We offer classes that provide opportunities for professional development and personal enrichment at our four campuses:

  • COA – Dare
  • COA – Edenton-Chowan
  • COA – Elizabeth City
  • COA – Currituck

Day and evening courses are available.

In addition to professional development courses, our continuing education class schedules include programs for fun or personal growth.


If you’re sponsoring a student’s registration, you’ll need to register by phone or in person at your campus. A sponsor can be an employer, parent, agency or anyone who’s registering a student.

Refund Policy

A full refund is provided to students who drop a class at least one day before the class start date. A 75 percent refund may be available to students who complete 10 percent or less of the class.


These scholarships are for eligible workforce continuing education students who are pursuing 96-hour, high-demand workforce training programs leading to a state or industry-recognized credential.
