Magician and Comedy Hypnotist David Anthony to Perform at COA Performing Arts Center

ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. — College of The Albemarle’s (COA) Performing Arts Center (PAC) will host magician and comedy hypnotist David Anthony on Friday, May 2.

Two performances will be held:

  • Field Trip/Groups Magic Show — 10 a.m.
    This special morning show is designed for school groups and community organizations. It will feature Anthony’s award-winning illusions and family-friendly magic. Please note: this performance will not include the hypnotist portion of the act. Seats are still available.
  • Evening Performance — 7 p.m.
    This full-length show will feature both Anthony’s signature illusions and his high-energy comedy hypnosis.

Anthony, a native of Cleveland, Ohio, began practicing magic at age 5, giving his first performance at 12. He later developed his award-winning act, A Tale of Serendipity,” earning national accolades. With guidance from theater director Art Thomas, Anthony continues to create and refine crowd-pleasing routines that have entertained thousands across the United States.

Performances will take place at the COA Performing Arts Center, 1208 N. Road St.
