COA Cares Fund

Earning an education and entering the workforce can be daunting enough on their own — but imagine having to do them without school supplies, appropriate clothes for an interview or while facing hunger.

No Matter the Need

The COA Cares program, established in 2019 by the faculty and staff of College of The Albemarle (COA), ensures the care and success of our students—no matter the need. The program provides support and resources to help students on their path to graduation and as they prepare to enter the workforce or transfer to a four-year institution.

COA Cares helps by:

  • Maintaining on-site food pantries accessible at all four COA locations
  • Providing a Career Closet with professional attire for interviews and employment needs
  • Offering free school supplies
  • Providing funds for certain financial emergencies
  • Coordinating internal and external referral services

The Need Grows

Every year, more students face unexpected challenges—ranging from food insecurity and transportation issues to housing instability and childcare needs. COA Cares is here to help them stay focused on their education and achieve their goals, no matter what obstacles arise.

As part of the COA family, you know that education is the key to success. We invite you to join us in supporting our students by donating to COA Cares today.

Your contribution makes an immediate and meaningful difference. Together, we can provide assistance with essentials such as food, medication, gas, housing, and childcare—helping students stay on track to transform their tomorrow.

Thank you for being part of a caring community that believes in the power of education and the strength of helping hands.
