COA Cares Fund

COA Cares
No Matter the Need
The COA Cares program, established in 2019 by the faculty and staff of College of The Albemarle (COA), ensures the care and success of our students, no matter the need. It provides support and resources for students on their path to graduation and as they enter the workforce or transfer to a four-year institution.
COA Cares offers:
- Food pantries at all four campuses
- Career clothes closet
- School supplies
- Referral services to internal and external resources
The Need Grows
The Covid-19 pandemic has now created challenges many students would not otherwise have had to face — layoffs, lost wages, hunger, childcare issues and even homelessness. While we have been able to secure computers and internet access for students as we’ve transitioned to online instruction, we continue to receive calls for help from individuals trying to meet other responsibilities while continuing their education.
As part of the COA family, you know education is the key to success. So, we are asking you to join us in helping students by donating to COA Cares today.
Your monetary donation will make an immediate difference for a student impacted by the coronavirus. Together, we can provide gift cards for food, medication and gas, as well as assistance for housing and childcare.
Thank you for helping COA students continue to transform their tomorrow. While what tomorrow may bring may seem a bit uncertain, you are joining the effort to offer some stability for our students during these unprecedented times.
