Jewel and Lee Davenport Post Graduate Scholarship

The College of The Albemarle Foundation is pleased to announce a new transfer scholarship opportunity for graduates of the College of The Albemarle.

For the 2026–27 academic year, the Foundation will award four $12,000 scholarships. Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the receiving institution.

Jewel and Lee Davenport Post Graduate Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be an upcoming or previous graduate of the College of The Albemarle (COA) who either received the Jewel and Lee Davenport Endowed Scholarship or graduated from one of the following high schools: Camden County High School, Columbia High School, Pasquotank County High School, or Northeastern High School.
  • Be an upcoming or previous graduate of COA who plans to transfer to North Carolina State University to continue their education, or plans to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at a college or university within the University of North Carolina System.

Application Requirements

Applicants must submit:

  • A completed PDF scholarship application
  • A copy of their unofficial COA transcript
  • A complete list of community service, leadership, and extracurricular activities
  • A required 350-500-word essay submitted separately as a Word document or PDF file

Submission Information

Completed applications and supporting materials must be submitted to the College of The Albemarle Foundation no later than April 15, 2026.

Students are encouraged to ensure all materials are complete at the time of submission. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
