Quality Enhancement Plan

College of The Albemarle developed a Quality Enhancement Plan to support continuous improvement and promote student success. The College’s QEP, “Gateways to Success,” is a comprehensive approach to foster student success, equity, and continuous improvement for adult learners from lower socioeconomic backgrounds. 

This plan seeks to reduce equity gaps in the following three performance measures: 

• Gateway English Course Completion
• Gateway Math Course Completion
• Fall Semester-to-Fall Semester Persistence  

To meet its goals, the College has implemented strategies to address student success equity gaps. These include using actionable progress reports, enhancing academic advising through a success coaching model, and running re-enrollment campaigns to boost semester-to-semester persistence.
