How to Apply
Do I have to use the online application system to apply for a job? May I submit a printed or written application form, resume or cover letter?
You may only use the online application to apply for jobs at College of The Albemarle (COA). We no longer accept paper applications, resumes or cover letters. You can attach job-specific resumes and documents to your online application for each job you apply to.
You can access our online application from any internet-connected computer. If you don’t have a personal computer at home, the following is a list of resources to access computers and other services:
- Public libraries: Visit any public library in your community such as the East Albemarle Regional Library, Camden County Library, Moyock Public Library, Perquimans County Library, Pasquotank County Library or the Shepard-Pruden Memorial Library
- COA libraries
- Family or friends
If you don’t already have an email account, you may obtain a free one at websites such as Gmail™, Hotmail™ or Yahoo™. You must have a valid email address to access our system. All notices such as your application receipt and the status of your application will be sent to your email account. We won’t send any paper correspondence.

You may access your account by signing in from our NeoGov™ web page. You can check the status of your applications, update your applications, create a new application and see all the jobs you applied to.
To access your account, use the “Forgot Username?” or “Reset Password” link located on the applicant sign in page. The system will send instructions to your email address on file. If you don’t receive an email, check your spam folder to see if the email was routed there.
Yes, you may apply for any open jobs for which you’re qualified. You need only one applicant account in order to apply for multiple jobs.
Yes, you can start your application, log off the system, then log back in and finish whenever it’s convenient.
I’m a current COA employee. Do I have to submit an application, resume and cover letter for an open job?
Yes, you must submit an online application and any other required application materials stated in the job posting.
