College of The Albemarle (COA) needs the high school and university transcripts for all students. International students must submit their transcripts in the student’s native language as well as an English translation of each in order to be admitted to the college. If a student would like the courses they have taken in their home country to be considered for transfer credit, the must hire an agency to translate and evaluate their official transcripts.
The following agencies all evaluate foreign educational credentials and “translate” them to their equivalent degrees or credits based on a U.S. semester system at an accredited institution. The pricing for credential evaluation vary, but the average cost is $100 to $300 USD. Students should call or visit the website for the individual agencies to obtain current pricing and application procedures. The following agencies aren’t affiliated with COA, and COA accepts evaluations from all National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) accredited organizations. All organizations listed are NACES approved.
