Dual Enrollment Program
If you need to schedule an advising appointment, please contact your Career and College Promise (CCP) Advisor.
College of The Albemarle (COA) has partnered with area high schools to provide Career and College Promise (CCP), a seamless dual-enrollment program to help high school students accelerate completion of college certificates, diplomas, and associate degrees that lead to college transfer or provide entry-level job skills. COA’s CCP program is open to students with high school junior or senior status with an unweighted high school grade-point average of 2.8 or higher.
How to Get Started
Pathways

- Students enrolled in the Associate in Arts in Teacher Preparation (A1010T), Associate in Science in Teacher Preparation (A1040T), CCP Transfer Pathway Leading to the Associate in Arts in Teacher Preparation (P1012T), and CCP Transfer Pathway Leading to the Associate in Science in Teacher Preparation (P1042T) programs should be aware that SOC 225 Social Diversity is temporarily not a required course for degree completion while the North Carolina Community College System reviews the statewide curriculum standard to ensure compliance with recently enacted North Carolina legislation affecting public institutions of higher education. Students may choose to complete SOC 225, or they may complete an approved substitute course. Students considering a course substitution should contact Lucretia White, Program Coordinator for Teacher Preparation, at [email protected] before making any schedule changes to ensure the selected course is designated as a UGETC or general education course and supports their degree and transfer plans.
