Instructor Student Hours
Students are always encouraged to reach out to their instructors for support during student hours. Student hours can be found in your course Syllabus in the Instructor Information section.
ThinkingStorm (24/7 Online Tutoring)
Online tutoring is provided 24/7 via ThinkingStorm tutorial service. ThinkingStorm can be accessed through the OneLogin portal, from any course in myCourses and from the Student Resources Menu in myCourses. Students receive eight hours of support each semester in ThinkingStorm. To request additional support after the initial eight hours, students should contact [email protected].
Learning Labs
Learning labs are spaces on campus where students can drop-in for in-person tutoring by faculty. The Learning Lab at the Elizabeth City campus is in A building (A216), open Monday-Thursday from 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM.
Individual Tutoring Request
COA offers tutoring to students who may need assistance in their course(s) after utilizing student hours, online tutoring and the learning labs – or if your subject matter or available times were not covered in the above options.
